Dragon Tales
Such a dear child,
Sitting on my knee,
Requesting a story in a charming plea.
Curiosity like fire,
Hungry and yearning,
A precious thing who enjoys learning.
Just one story,
Then off to bed,
Else your mother will have my head.
Now listen closely,
And listen well,
For I've an important lesson to tell.
Of choices,
Good and bad,
And the outcome, which was somewhat sad.
Over mountains,
And through a vale,
Is where I shall begin this tale.
A strong-headed lad,
Brave and cock-sure,
For whom warnings of danger would never deter.
But he was foolish,
Longed only for glory,
It came as no surprise when his end was gory.
